223 - Overcome the Current Staffing Drought with Creative Approaches to Cultivating Existing Staff and New Graduates

Cedars Sinai and Colorado Childrens Hospital could not find the talent needed to fill the many job openings in cancer registry and coding. Dealing with vacancies and pressure from administration, they knew they had to get creative. Internal staff and new graduates had the desire to fill the positions but not the experience or knowledge to be successful.

With internal resources limited and content scarce, they partnered with an external vendor to create customized solutions they feel can be applied in your organization. These leaders, alongside Haugen Consulting Group, will share the many lessons learned in developing internal career paths, how to hire the right candidate for this type of program, and the challenges and successes achieved along the way.
